An intimate catholic wedding in Tuscany
Ciara and Sean have their roots in Ireland, where they met and start dating. After their relationship started, they decide to move to Canada. Not to long after their engagement, since both of them grew up as catholic and to honour their roots, they decided for an intimate catholic wedding in Tuscany.
They immediately fall in love with a cosy villa, just outside Florence and decided for a super romantic countryside church against one of the big cathedrals in the city centre. Sean and Ciara, wanted their day to be about love and relationships’ connections, to be intimate and relaxing.
The Dress & Attire
There are no true words to describe the wedding gown. A true beauty. The wedding dress was slip mermaid model a with a gorgeous short train with handmade lace inserts. A stretch illusion fabric and beaded with the same lace of the train, made the corset something unique. The final effect was a light and easy look with glamourous accents. Ciara choose as her bridesmaid her sister. She wore a one shoulder column dress with a satin waist belt. The light pastel hue of the azure was the perfect match with the attire of the bride.
The groom, decided to go with an intense electric blue 90s style suit, paired with a pastel pink tie to match the bouquet of the bride. This suit was simply perfect. The shade of the suit was versatile, with a brilliant and natural vibe but sophisticated look.
The Flowers and décor
A rustic sophisticated look was the wedding theme. The countryside was the leitmotif of this intense day. Hues of greens, greys and pastel pinks were the colors of the wedding scheme. A unique wild mixture of different types of roses, lisianthus astilbe and eucalyptus made the bridal bouquet. For the church, part of an old country small abbey, belonging to Franciscan monks, Ciara opted for a simple but classy décor. A main piece for the altar, left at the church after the ceremony, as a gift for the Holy Virgin and simple pews’ decoration.
The reception table was the perfect union of grace and elegance. Big vases with greenery, roses, hydrangeas in the shades of green, white and pale pink against the brown of the table, created a classy and fascinating look. Small candles in decorated glass jars with wooded holders completed the mood. All the flowers and décor entirely reflected the character of this intimate catholic wedding in Tuscany.
The intimate catholic wedding Tuscany
The day before of the wedding, Ciara and Sean met the Priest for a confessional and finally have the chance to know him in person. This couple was so happy to have such a nice and positive person to lead them through all the steps to their intimate catholic wedding in Tuscany.
On the morning of the day, Sean and his twin brother got up early and went for a run in the countryside to melt a bit the nerves. In the meanwhile, Ciara was getting ready with her best friend.
After several emails and calls with the Priest, Father Paolo, the text of the mass was ready. The lovely couple selected all the reading personally with the Priest. It was as Ciara and Sean envisioned full of emotions and love. Father Paolo said that it was the most personal wedding mass he remembers doing.
After the mass, the couple went in the olive groves and vineyard behind the church for some private shoots. The landscapes were truly amazing and they couldn’t have been a better day. Sunny, but with some clouds to get the perfect light to get unique couple portraits.
Once back at the venue, they re-join their family and friends in the garden of the villa to have some prosecco together and celebrate their happiness. The wedding table was waiting for them under the arches of the porch of the villa. A stunning 17th century mansion.
The look was truly impressive. The white façade against the dark tones of the table and chairs, created an elegant contrast. A personal chef cooked all the food for the day. He did a perfect fusion between the taste of Ciara and Sean and the Tuscan tradition. The day ended with the cut of the cake, the traditional Italian wedding cake: millefoglie with wild berries. I bet this was the favourite part of all the guests of the wedding!
Everyone was so happy, they had so much fun during the day. Everything felt so relaxed and natural that the couple didn’t feel at all the stress if their intimate catholic wedding in Tuscany
