White and green romantic wedding in Tuscany
Jack and Katie tied the knot in an amazing private villa in Tuscany. They travelled from Vermont and England, to Italy’s beautiful Tuscan countryside with friends and family for their destination wedding.
They chose the charming Podere Marciano as their wedding venue for its gorgeous courtyard space with a breath taking view overlooking the valley. In this venue there isn’t a lot that needs to be added to make for an unforgettable day.
Despite a couple of very bad rainstorm during the day, everything was set up outside. This romantic wedding was set in the backyard yard of the villa, the aperitif was served in the swimming pool area and the reception took place in the main courtyard.
After the ceremony guests gathered around a single long reception table as the warm Tuscan dusk set in. The food and wine were the main element for the reception.
As part of their wedding ceremony, the couple incorporated the ceremony of the sand and a couple of doves were let fly as an emblem of Peace, Love and New Beginnings. They symbolized the newly-wed couple setting off on their journey in life together, in harmony.
The bride’s favourite colours were white and green. A glamorous mixture of pure white and touches of greens resulted perfect in this romantic wedding theme with a modern twist. The bridesmaids wore forest green dresses and the maid of honour, Katie’s sister, had a white and green outfit.
The only exception was the Bride bouquet, that was created with soft, romantic colours to complement the wedding style. All the bridesmaid carried a white calla lilies bouquets.
A white table set against a blue sky was full of flowers and candles to create a unique and unforgettable atmosphere. The seating plan was incorporated in the old wheel of the Villa. Katie has always travelled a lot since she was young. She had always with her a muppet. During the wedding day, Katie to place the old muppet (the yellow one) aside the new one that was a very uncommom wedding gift from Jack.
After the dinner, before to start the party, the couple decided for a colourful dessert table and a Sangria bar inside the main room of the villa.
The beauty of this small destination wedding was the intimate feeling . Katie and Jackie wanted to share their special day with family and closest friends and this inspired every single detail of the planning. Every detail, was so beautiful and thoughtful, to made this intimate gathering that much more special .
