24 Lug Rustic wedding in Florence – Elisabetta e Spencer
After getting engaged in the States, Elisabetta and Spencer, knew they wanted a rustic wedding in Florence. Elisabetta is from Florence and met Spencer immediately after she moved to NYC. There is nothing more romantic than an homely wedding, just few miles away from the city centre. This rustic wedding in Florence took place in the beautiful Villa di Bivigliano.
The Dress & Attire
The bridal gown was personally designed by Alexandra Grecco, a friend of Elisabetta. She felt beautiful and comfortable with clean lines of the bodice and playfulness of the embroidered, full skirt.
The groom wore a dark grey suit, spiced up with a clutch made especially for the big day.
The Flowers and decor
Nothing was more different from traditional for this rustic wedding flowers. Spigs of olives and two baby trees were used as décor for the ceremony. Bivigliano has so much beauty on its own that the couple wanted to focus on lots of natural elements. The long wooden tables adorned with a mixture of aromatic herbs in pots, lots of candles and a burlap runner, to underline the bucolic romance of the dinner. The bouquet was absolutely stunning and the perfect match with the bride. Olives leaves, peonies and a variety of white and green flowers were the perfect mixture for Elisabetta. The boys wore a super cute white and green buttonhole. all the elements perfecly were perfectly incorporated in the rustic wedding in Florence theme.
Lots of personal touches were also fused in this rustic wedding, such as the escort cards made by the father of the bride, the clutch of the groom embroidered by hi mother and the wedding favours, packed together by both families the days before the wedding.
The wedding day
Views are natural and pleasant and make this place perfect for rustic wedding in Florence. The villa offered infinite possibilities for breathtaking photos for the reveal. Betta and Spencer enjoyed this little moment under a pergola in the little terrace of the villa. The ceremony took place in the back lawn of the villa, among fruit trees and acient roses’ bushes. The cocktail hour was serve in the Italian garden. There were many areas for their guests to enjoy and this was one of the reason behind the venue choice.
Finally the caterer ticked all of this couples boxes with delicious Tuscan food. The rustic wooden tables gave to the wedding meal that natural and romantic atmosphere of a family dinner wanted by the spouses.
A naked cake adorned with fresh fruits was the cherry on top of the cake of the wedding day. After the cut of the cake the all the guests joined the couple for mid night party in the main all of Bivigliano, the old ballroom.
Every element of the day reflected the Elisabetta and Spencer tastefully laid-back style. Despite the heatwave, everyone enjoyed the day and immersed themselves in the festivities from the welcome dinner in the chapel to the family style dinner.
